The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori based religious education method that focuses on the relationship between God and the child. Catechists and children explore the liturgy and scriptures in a beautiful, retreat-like space called the atrium. There our goal is to foster and deepen the child’s relationship with God, to encourage the formation of a personal prayer life, to help the child participate more fully in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church, and to develop a deeper understanding of Catholic identity and tradition. At St. Joseph, we offer Level 1, which encompasses children aged 3 to 6, Level 2, which encompasses children aged 7-9, and Level 3, which encompasses children aged 10-12.
