Festival News 2016
The Annual Honey Creek Festival at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church is just around the corner on Sunday, October 9, 10a.m. - 4p.m. This year the Festival will feature food, music, raffle prizes, auctions, and activities for the whole family.
The following is the schedule:
FESTIVAL PREPARATION TO WELCOME FRIENDS AND FAMILY:
September 24 – Grounds/Landscape clean-up crew (7:30 am)
September 28 – Kitchen preparation (9:00 am)
October 1 – Church grounds, Dining Hall & Booth prep day (7:30 am)
October 8 – Potato peeling (6:30 am)
October 8 – Final Festival set up (7:30 am)
October 9 – FESTIVAL!!!
October 10 – Post Festival Cleanup (7:30 am)
October 10 – Mass of Thanksgiving (9:00 am)

“The harvest is plenty, the laborers are few.” Won’t you please share your time and talent by volunteering for the upcoming Honey Creek Festival? This is the largest St. Joseph Honey Creek fundraiser and it supports the ministries at St. Joseph. Volunteers are needed for our success. Opportunities for all...can you help with any of the following booths or preparation? Almost all the booths need help from volunteers, both the day of the Festival and before the Festival in gathering prizes, sale items for the booths, and donation for the Auctions, Live and Silent as well as the Raffle. The Festival Committee has the final say as to where donated items will be placed, whether in one of the Auctions or in the Raffle. Here are some of the booths and their needs.
The festival is almost here, and that means the Bake Shop needs your help. Please bring baked goods to the Bake Shop booth the morning of the festival, Oct. 9. Remember, we can't do this without you. If you'd like to donate your time by working at the Bake Shop, please call Carolyn Denny at 210-414-0947.
Face Painting Booth
Do you love to draw and paint? Artists are needed for the face painting booth. If you love to see the smiles on little kids and “big” kids faces alike when you give them all the glamour and glitter they can imagine, come and share your time and artistic talent! Please contact Theresa Lopez at email@example.com to volunteer.
Country Store Booth
The Catholic Daughters would appreciate your donations for the Country Store booth. There will be boxes at the downstairs entrance and foyer of the church. The Rummage/Recycling Sale
“Go Green.” This is your opportunity to de-clutter and recycle usable items from your home, office or garage as well as the opportunity to support and help others in our community! We need donations that are “new or gently used”, such as books, toys, school supplies, clean household items for kitchen, bed & bath. Also, cardboard boxes & paper bags are needed to help with sorting and sale of items.
***PLEASE NO CLOTHING, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR OLD WIDE BOX/HEAVY TV’S***
Donations will be accepted at the location below:
46 West Storage (Units 314 & 309)
23065 Hwy 46 West, Spring Branch, TX 78070
(2 miles east of St. Joseph’s on Hwy. 46 near Bulverde Rd.)
Days and times for donation drop off are as follows:
Saturdays: Sept. 10, 17, 24, and Oct. 1. Times from 9 am to 12 pm.
Sundays: Sept. 11, 18, 25 and Oct. 2. Times from 9 am to 12 pm.

Auction and Raffle Donations
Donations for the Raffle, Live Auction and Silent Auction can be dropped off at the Parish Office. The Festival Committee has the final decision as to where donated items will be placed
