St. Joseph Festival and Homecoming 2014

ST. JOSEPH - HONEY CREEK FESTIVAL & HOMECOMING

The Festival & Homecoming is upon us and we need EVERYONE to participate as a family or ministry we need each of you for the work days leading up to our wonderful Festival & Homecoming.

Pot Roast Meal Serving Times:
Dining Hall hours 11:00am - 2:00pm
To-Go hours 11:00am - 3:00pm

FESTIVAL STEWARDSHIP OF TIME OPPORTUNITIES:
August 30 - Potato Peeling (6:30 a.m.)
August 30 - Festival Setup (7:30 a.m.)
August 31 - FESTIVAL!!
September 1 - Post Festival Cleanup and Mass (7:30 a.m.)

ADOPT A BOOTH: This is a new idea to have all of our ministries involved with the festival. Adopt a booth - if all of our ministries, neighborhood nets and families will "Adopt" a booth for just a few hours everyone will get to enjoy the Festival. Booths that REALLY, REALLY need help are: Kitchen, Dining Hall, Kids Games, Bingo and Rummage/Recycle Booth. LIVE AUCTION & SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS: If you are able to donate an item or a monetary donation for the Live Auction and/or Silent Auction please contact Jim & Jayne Turnipseede at jmtrnps@gvtc.com or 830-438-7759, or contact the Parish Office at 830-980-2268.

If you know of a business or someone who you think we can contact for a donation please contact Jim or the Church Office as well. Remember - this is your chance to make this Festival - BIGGER AND BETTER!

ARTS/CRAFTS BOOTH NEEDS YOUR DONATIONS!  Each year, many of our parishioners make art/crafts items at home and donate them to the Festival Arts/Craft Booth.  Please bring items to us on Wednesdays, 10:00 - 3:00,  in room 106 of the Education Building, or call us if you need things picked up.  We'd like to have all donations by August 27.  Please put your name and phone number with your donations.  For more information or to arrange a pick-up, please call Lisa Young at 830-885-6708, or Joana Alexander at 830-336-2602.  Thank you.

"GO GREEN" FOR THE RUMMAGE/RECYCLING SALE!
"Going green" will give you the opportunity to de-clutter and recycle a few usable items from your home, office or garage and give you the opportunity to support and help others in our community! Donations that are "new or gently used" are greatly appreciated!

Books, toys, school supplies
Clean household items for kitchen, bed & bath
Luggage, office items, sports equipment, tools
Extra cardboard boxes & paper bags appreciated to help with sorting & sale of items

Saturday, August 23, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 24, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

FACE PAINTING BOOTH: ARTISTS are needed for the face painting booth. If you love to see the smiles on kid's faces when you give them all the glamour and glitter they can imagine please contact THERESA LOPEZ at etmmlopez@gmail.com to volunteer your time and talent at the Face Painting Booth.

SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR:  Kid's game booth will be selling wristband for $5.00 for all games. Face painting and barrel train rides will be excluded from wristband.

BAKED GOODS NEEDED!  Our Bake Sale Booth needs your help!  Please bake your best and deliver to the festival area on Sunday, August 31, starting at 8:00 a.m.  They also need manpower to help with shifts throughout the day.  For more information,
