St. Joseph - Honey Creek formed a group of Matachines last year to glorify God and to venerate our Lady of Guadalupe through sacred dance. This interpretive dance, costumes of colors, beats of percussion, and the steps are drawn from rich indigenous culture of the villages of Mexico with a deep loyalty to our Lady of Guadalupe, dating back to the time when Christianity first came to Mexico. The group, consisting of 22 members, is in need of someone who knows how to play the drums. If you are interested in joining the group or play the drums, please contact Imelda Quiroz, 830-980-2268.
Si esta interesada y quiere ser parte del grupo de Matachines, por favor hablar a Imelda Quiroz al telefono 830-968-2268 o Maria Gonzalez al telefono 210-286-1276
