The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem chapter in the archdiocese will host its first Hour of Prayer and Reflection for Peace and for Persecuted Christians in the Middle East on Tuesday, June 16, at 7 p.m., at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 758 West Ramsey Avenue. Bishop Emeritus Michael Pfeifer, OMI, of the Diocese of San Angelo, will be the presider and, although this is a service for Holy Sepulchre members, everyone is invited to attend. The Order of the Holy Sepulchre was formed in 1099 at the end of the first Crusade. Today, the Knights and Ladies of the Order are committed to prayer and financial support to maintain Christianity and its facilities in the Holy Land. They are asked to pray every day for peace.
