Please join with other men of this parish and increase our knowledge of how to pray. Thanks to our dedicated Director of Adult Faith Formation, Frances Coale. She has made us aware of this fabulous study program called "Oremus" which means "Let us pray." It seeks to help people learn how to pray within the Tradition of the Catholic Church and each session focuses on a related group of topics that sequentially teaches the essential basics of prayer. There are eight lessons to Oremus presented by Father Mark Toups. Each week we will watch an informative and inspiring DVD presentation by Fr. Toups followed by small group discussion of the truths he presented in that lesson. The primary goal of "Oremus" is to help people deepen their relationship with God.
These presentations will start on Thursday, March 27, and continue each Thursday for eight consecutive weeks with the exception of Holy Thursday on April 17. We will start at 7:00 p.m. each week, and it will last until 8:30 p.m. We need to make arrangements for space and the number of workbooks to order, so please RSVP to Frances Coale at 830-980-2268 if you would like to attend. The cost of the workbook is $13. These sessions would be a great way of giving more time to God during Lent to deepen your relationship with Him.
